Анотація

The article deals with the UK and American experience of multimedia evolution the roots of which can be traced as far back as the 15th century. The current Information Technology trends in British education are presented and followed by the two different academic opinions on the history of multimedia in language teaching. The article concludes with the key areas that require further attention in the UK and American education sector.
